This category is full of tools that look sophisticated and are not. A few checks separate them.
Warning signs
Precise post counts. "1,482,993 posts" implies live data across eight platforms that no public API provides. It is either badly stale or invented.
Guaranteed reach claims. Nobody can guarantee distribution. Anyone claiming to has stopped describing the product.
Identical output for different keywords. Type two unrelated keywords. If the results overlap heavily, the tool is serving a fixed list with your keyword pasted on.
A results wall. Generating the set and then requiring an email to see it is a lead-generation form wearing a tool costume.
Good signs
It explains its scoring. Any difficulty number should come with a method you can read and disagree with.
Output changes with platform. An Instagram set and a LinkedIn set for the same keyword should look genuinely different, because the platforms are genuinely different.
Ranges rather than false precision. A tool admitting the limits of its data is more trustworthy than one manufacturing certainty.
Export without friction. Your tag set should leave the tool easily.
