Terms of service
Last updated Jul 1, 2026
Agreement
By using Hastag you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel — closing the tab is sufficient.
The service
Hastag generates hashtag suggestions from a keyword you provide, along with editorial content about social media strategy. It is provided free of charge, as-is, with no service level commitment. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
Your output belongs to you
Hashtags generated by this tool are yours to use however you like — personal accounts, client work, commercial campaigns, agency deliverables. No attribution is required, no licence fee applies, and we claim no rights over the tag sets you produce. Individual hashtags are not copyrightable subject matter in any case.
Our content belongs to us
The guides, blog articles, FAQ answers, site design, source code and branding are our copyright. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish articles wholesale, scrape the content in bulk, or reproduce the site design as your own product.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
- Do not scrape the generator endpoint at automated volume. It is built for people, not for harvesting.
- Do not use the tool to promote content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, or to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone.
- Do not present the service as your own, or resell access to it.
We may block access that breaches these terms, without notice and without explanation.
No warranty
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any generated hashtag will produce any particular result. Difficulty scores are heuristic estimates, not measurements — see the disclaimer for the full explanation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hastag is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site — including lost reach, lost revenue, lost followers or any action taken against your account by a third-party platform. You are responsible for what you publish.
Platform rules override us
Every platform has its own terms, and those terms govern your account, not ours. If a platform's rules conflict with anything suggested here, follow the platform. We have no relationship with any of them and cannot intervene on your behalf.
Changes
Updated terms take effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page will reflect the change. Continued use means acceptance.
