Privacy policy

The short version
We do not require an account, we do not run advertising networks, we do not load third-party tracking scripts and we do not build behavioural profiles. The keywords you type into the generator are processed to build your tag set and are not stored against any identity.
What we collect
Generator inputs. Your keyword, platform, language, tone and group size are sent to our server to build results. They are processed in memory and are not written to a user profile or sold to anyone.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, referrer. These exist for security and diagnostics, are rotated on the host's schedule, and are not combined with anything else to identify individuals.
Contact messages. If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you submit are emailed to us. They stay in that inbox. They are not added to a mailing list, imported into a CRM or shared.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, so no passwords and no user records.
- No advertising or social media tracking pixels.
- No cross-site behavioural profiling, and no data brokers.
- No payment information — the tool is free and there is nothing to pay for.
Local storage
Your theme preference (dark or light) is saved in your browser's local storage under the key hn-theme.
It never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it. This is a preference,
not an identifier, and it cannot be used to recognise you.
Third parties
Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads. That request is subject to Google's own privacy terms. We use no other third-party services on the front end — no analytics platform, no tag manager, no chat widget, no CDN-hosted framework.
Your rights
Because we hold no account data, there is generally nothing to export or delete. If you have sent us a contact message and want it removed from our inbox, email hello@hashtag.net and we will delete it. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA applies to you, the rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection are available on request through that same address.
Children
This site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not make quiet edits to reduce your protections.
