Post more or post better. The advice arrives from both directions and the tension is genuine — time is finite.
Why consistency wins early
With ten posts, you have almost no information about what works. Volume is how you acquire that information, and no amount of care substitutes for it. Early on, twenty adequate posts teach you more than five excellent ones.
Consistency also trains the system and the audience. Irregular posting means starting from scratch repeatedly.
Why quality wins later
Once you know what works, additional volume has diminishing returns and considerable cost. At that point one strong post a week outperforms five weak ones, because weak posts drag your engagement rate down and that rate affects everything you publish afterwards.
The resolution: set a floor
Define the minimum standard a post has to meet to go out. Then set a cadence you can genuinely sustain at that standard — not the one you wish you could sustain.
Three posts a week done properly, forever, beats daily posting for six weeks followed by a month of silence. The second pattern is the most common failure mode among people who are trying hard.
On burnout
Cadences chosen aspirationally collapse. If you cannot imagine keeping it up in a bad week, it is the wrong cadence. Choose the sustainable number and let the consistency compound.
