About hastag.net

hastag.net started as a simple answer to a frustrating question: why does finding the right hashtags feel like a paid game? Most tools hide their best features behind subscriptions or ask for an account before they show you anything useful. We wanted the opposite — open the page, get value, move on with your day.

What we believe

Creators shouldn’t have to pay to be discovered. Small businesses, hobbyists, students, and side-project owners all deserve the same access to good tools as the big agencies. So we built a clean, fast generator and put it on the open web — free for anyone, anywhere.

How the tool works

When you enter a keyword, the generator combines it with platform-specific patterns — the modifiers and trends that creators on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), and YouTube actually use. Each suggestion is then scored on two simple axes: popularity (how much reach the tag tends to attract) and difficulty (how hard it is to stand out). The combination gives you a balanced set instead of a wall of generic tags.

Open source by design

The codebase is meant to be read. If you’re curious how a suggestion is generated, you can look. If you have an idea for a better scoring model, you can propose it. Transparency keeps the tool honest and lets the community shape where it goes next.

Who it’s for

Anyone who posts online and wants more eyes on their work — whether you’re a photographer building a portfolio, a small shop announcing a new product, a podcaster sharing an episode, or a creator chasing your first viral video. If you publish, you’re welcome here.
